Yumekui Merry has everything, plot, movement, charming characters, and an end goal in sight. So why is it so bereft of excitement? Is it the subject matter? The problems raised? The plot itself? Just me?

Now is it just me or is this series so much better when it doesn't beat around the bush with religious mumbo jumbo and stuff actually happens on screen? We had Accelerator trying to get Kihara's Hound Dogs off his back, Touma trying to do the same before Vento came along, and Kuroko causing a commotion over Mikoto like only she can. Throw in Uihara for good measure and the end result is To Aru Majutsu no Index just the way I like it.

I'm starting to think that Ichika doesn't get enough credit, simply because he's oblivious to the idea that cute girls actually like him. If we're talking about sticking up for what he believes in, then the inter-class two-versus-two IS tournament was a prime example of some of his redeeming traits.

"Shut up Enri. Phryne can strip all she wants." That's admittedly the first (sarcastic) thought that came to mind when Enri started flipping out about our mysterious priestess taking off all her clothes in record time to go skinny dipping. More so than the actual fan-service, that scene showcased the tomboy side of Phryne yet again, and how she's not shy about being a girl, let alone an attractive one, which is always fun to watch.

The phrase my mind has been blown away doesnt really fit how broken my mind is. As I try to settle my thoughts and try to figure out a way to condense them into something comprehendible, the first thing that comes to mind is how much I would like to rip Kyubeis head off.

The first of four Oreimo episodes that leads to the "true ending" of the series has been streamed, and it follows the same general flow as the episode twelve "good ending" we saw last season. What was interesting is how the first half was identical, before things starting veering off ever so slightly with Kyousuke missing the last train out of Akihabara and once again going above and beyond what's expected of a typical older brother.

After I remembered how the producers promised that this show would be full of laughs, battles, shocking revelations, and plot twists, Im glad to say that theyve managed to pull through and provide everything they promised and then some. For me, the return to a slice of life styled episode signaled the beginning of the humor I've missed for the past two weeks.
