Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova – 05

(Hito Narazaru Mono)
“Not Human”

They say that life is full of pleasant surprises. This week’s episode was definitely one of them. As expected, the defeat of Kirishima and Haruna pave the way for game changing developmentsincluding the roll out of the Vibration Warhead and Iona’s realization of what it means to feel regret and satisfaction. The significant developments however, end up happening away from the I-401 and her crew, as we get an episode focused purely on Haruna, Kirishima (now 1000x cuter), and Osakabe Makie. This gives us an episode unlike any that came beforeand a spectacular one at that.

Since the first episode, a major theme of Ars Nova has been the question of what it means to be human and the difference between artificial and natural intelligence. We’ve seen first hand how significant Gunzou’s presence has been to Iona and the changes that the Fog have undergone since their deployment of Mental Models. The use of tactics, independent action (Takao), displays of emotion and curiosity are just some such changes. In this regard, this fifth episode is no different from the rest in terms of thematic exploration. What does set it apart, is how it ends up being explored.

Whereas the previous episodes had Iona, Takao, or a few moments of tea time as the major sources of exposition, this week gives us our first significant look into how Mental Models react in a real-life environment. More importantly, we see it from their view. It’s a perspective that has been mostly absent thus far, and it’s a game changer in regards to their development and how I see them. They’re no longer robotic dolls following the orders of a faceless entity. With each passing week, they’re becoming more and more human, with Kirishima and Haruna’s exploration of the Osakabe manor akin to a child exploring a new place. Their realization of what it means to be truly free, the obvious attachment they’ve developed with Makie, and their implied acceptance of Toujuurou’s request highlight this further. And although the episode does end up on a cliffhanger, it’s obvious they’re going to try and protect Makie. Provided they do, it’s an action that will only further distance themselves from the Fog they used to beespecially when you consider the potential empathy they may feel in regards to someone who “isn’t human” either.

That said, it’s not just all thematic exploration or serious topics this week. Topping things off are some priceless moments in regards to Haruna’s jacket, Makie’s clothing, Kirishima’s “revival,” and Takao’s arrival at Iwoto, and what we get is a fabulous episode that gives us a bit of everything. As with Episode 03, Ars Nova demonstrates its continued ability to impress even without flashy battle scenes, and it takes a special kind of series to pull that off without its main characters present. But, I suppose that’s why we’re getting these T-Shirts

If a human being ask himself those questions consatntly it will only be a meter of time it drives him crazy, I cant even begin to imagine what it will do to the Fog Fleet once the Mental Models start questioning themselfs.

I’m not sure who’s more terrifying right now…. Makie or Haru-Yotarou

      • x

@c2710 Well, I imagine the combination of the three of them should be much more terrifying :p.

  3. Wanderer

I cannot take any scene with Kirishima in it seriously any more.Leaving that aside, I wonder how they’ll protect Makie. It’s not like they have a ship to leave on. Even if it occurred to them, I’m not sure they’re ready to go the outright treason route of asking Gunzou for help. It seems unlikely that Haruna would have enough viable nanomaterials left to repurpose a human ship for their needs, but going overland would be moving through enemy territory, and I doubt Makie’s really in any condition for that sort of thing. And there’s another limiting factor. If she needs that much medication to survive, can they even cut and run with her? All the design children clearly had very poor health: can she even survive without access to a good medical center?

    • Unlucky Star

My actual take on this episode? Well, as soon as I saw a teddy bear leaping in the OP sequence, I figured we were in for another high octane navy battle. But, I guess I was wrong. Not quite as action-packed, but I agree it was another entertaining episode.I never realized Haruna had the potential to be so cute. Until now, that is. Kirishima’s reincarnation into Yotarou, and her ensuing actions were pretty cute too. Loved the way the three interacted with each other throughout. And that bath scene. First ever done completely in CG, perhaps? Either way those bubbles sure do stick to their…*cough* Oh, and plot. Can’t forget that plot. In the end there, I believe Haruna, and possbily Kirishima too, will decide to stay and protect Makie from Seal Team 6. As for complete defection, I don’t know, but those newfangled things called feelings and emotions can make mental models do unusual things, to say the least. Speaking of endings, I guess everyone grew tired of reaching for each other in a straight line, and decided to curve the path a bit. Gotta have variety in your life.In short, this episode was very cute, and will love Takao & Haruna long time.

    • Unlucky Star

Also, sorry Wanderer, but it turns out I’m quite good at accidentally replying to another person’s comment, instead of posting a new comment. Feel free to berate me both physically and verbally. I swear I’m not M. As fore legit responses:“I cannot take any scene with Kirishima in it seriously any more.”Agreed, as even the show’s music gave up in the very first scene Kirishima become one with the bear. 😉“If she needs that much medication to survive, can they even cut and run with her?”A good point. One way I see it happening, would be for Haruna or ‘Yotarou’ to discover how it’s made, and somehow recreate the medication using nano-materials. That would be pretty convenient, but unlikely.

  4. Absaroka

The development of mental models has certainly elevated this show above the usual battle anime. This episode got along just fine without any extended naval battles. I’m liking the increasing complexity of the Fog; it makes this show more than just a routine good guy Vs. bad guy exercise. Neither has it devolved into a fan service heavy harem show. Right now the amount of fan service is about optimal IMO (i.e, it exists but it doesn’t subtract from the broader story).

  5. MrTerrorist

Interesting changes they made.Makie now needs meds to eat while in the manga it’s her older sister, Prime Minister Makoto who takes them.Toujuurou is now Makie’s father instead of her grandfather. Also why the government is involved has been changed as wellsince in the manga, they wanted her killed since they feared her.Now that the army is involved i hope to see spider tanks.

    • daikama

Actually, Tojuro wasn’t portrayed as Makie’s grandfather in the manga at all. He was the Makie’s guardian, Lawrence, and that wasn’t the only change they made to his character. >_>

      • Magoiichi

I wanted the fabulous Toujuurou, but they changed things once again! I like this adaptation, but the unfaithfulness knocks down quality for me.

  6. pahlavi

In the beginning I did not like Haruna at all, but this episode brought out her cuteness. 🙂 She’s like a girl with chuunibyou! As for the series, it has become very interesting indeed. It’s not your usual battle anime. This season really had many hidden gems.

A couple of comments from Danbooru regarding the previous KanColle/Arpeggio end card:“Now we need Kongou x Kongou!”“Drinking tea together”I can’t help but smile at the new KanColle/Arpeggio end card (as well as seeing Takao trying to stalk Gunzou once again). XD(Hope Arpeggio!Kongou won’t be irritated with KanColle!Kongou‘s genki girl tendencies and gratuitous English outbursts…LOL)

      • Euzio

Love her new outfit! Her original white one was already great but this just helps brings her cuteness out even more! And those poses…. She’s too adorable!!! Takao 4tw!!!! 😀

Yes, maybe someone else will do it, who knows……kfdjdahljkdfas can resist no longer!*deep breath*Takao was momentarily stunned by a torpedo that was shoved into the bow of her hull, but never went off!…*weeps silently in a corner*

Poor Takao. You show up for some cuddling with the guy you like, and he shoves his torpedo in your face.

  8. Euzio

Episode was like a Haruna service episode. Wasn’t really expecting it to be such a lol-fest. Kinda surprised that there was absolutely no Gunzou or Iona in it as well. But i’m not gonna complain~ Haruna does show her cute side quite abit in this episode XD

  9. HalfDemonInuyasha

Haruna just shot way up on my scale, lol.

    • Unlucky Star

My scale is not the only thing Haruna managed to shoot way up. :3Sorry everyone, I just had to.

  10. ewok40k

OMG cuddly Kirishima!!!Also it is not abuse when its loli on loli. Haruna x Makie ftw!

    • Euzio

Looking at Haruna’s proportions… I find it hard-pressed to call her a loli though XD

      • Longhaul

agreed, the term loli seems to be corrupted nowadays and has lost its meaning

      • ewok40k

Well, I’m not gonna argue, Haruna definitely has adult like curves, but she is barely higher than Makie…

      • Znail

Makie is almost half Harunas size, she needed to stand on a chair to reach up and poke Haruna in the face.

      • ewok40k

Well, I managed to see that picture that made me mistake the proportions of height had Makie STANDING ON A CHAIR. Apology to Haruna for calling her a loli!

  11. thedarktower

Weve seen first hand how significant Gunzous presence has been to Iona and the changes that the Fog have undergone since their deployment of Mental Models

actually, I think we haven’t seen enough in that matter. Gunzou has managed to influence Takao more than Iona. and he hasn’t met her personally yet!Iona is still kinda robot, she does everything Gunzou say. yet we can see she reflect about those matters, but still I don’t feel something significant enough when talking about her. si it’s kinda fuzzy there. I guess it’s on purpose. the episode was kinda different this time. we barely got to see Iona, Gunzou and the others. most of it focused on the fog (mostly Haruna) and the philosophical question between human and AI. it’s still fuzzy to me whether they are fully-AI or manipulated one in some way. it reminds me some aspect from madoka – with only body and soul aside, you can be much better, yet what it says about?that you are a robot completely or not?I mean…there is a lot of what to think in that matter and this episode continue to try demonstrate it to us as possible.I wonder what will be with our new character Makie. she seems important not only in terms of those philosophical questions, but also in terms of plot development. I hope we’ll see progress in that matter related to her.p.sTakao has reached Iwoto. for a moment I thought it was Iwatobi (“FREE”) and I was like “Ha?!?!” kinda LOL

    • Zephyr

Well yes, Gunzou hasn’t had as much impact on Iona compared to Takao, but there have been some noticeable changes either way, and all of them are due to Gunzou’s presence. On that note though, when you think about it, it’s quite interesting how the person closest to Gunzou actually ends up changing the slowest. Or at least, it seems like she is. One wonders if it’s not partially because she’s having more difficulties processing the extra experiences she gets compared to the others… or if not, it’d be a good commentary on how people tend to take what’s closest to them for granted. Kinda.

      • Wanderer

Iona has never been defeated by Gunzou. That seems to be the biggest catalyst. Fighting him, dealing with mounting frustration and confusion and other emotions which they don’t know how to handle as he outmaneuvers them through behavior that they cannot understand, and then actually defeating them despite being inferior to them in every way that they can comprehend. It exposes them to a lot of emotion that they have no idea how to handle, and the contradiction of defeat seems to break their brains a little.

  12. Stilts

Since you dove into the main themes of this episode quite well Zephy, I guess that leaves me with only one thing to say:*Ahem*Haruna dress up and bath time are amazing experiences. Now stop touching her twintails, loli – twintails are a national treasure!

  13. Spike

We’re kinda getting into FullMetal Alchemist First Series territory where the overall narrative is starting to get warped and going rogue. They need to tread lightly because I’m skeptical and anime original storyline can stack up to the manga which is pretty darn good imo.

    • info600

it’s not completely warped (yet) as the plot’s near parallel to the original (give or take a few nitpicks)

  14. S83

Zephyr, the title for this episode () isn’t read as “Hito narazaru sha“, but instead as “Hito narazaru mono

    • Zephyr

I was wondering about that. Was staring at a few romaji translators to check, but they kept alternating between sha and mono. Edited. Thanks.

  15. Rasen

It’s a little weird, this episode. On one hand, I really liked the treatment of Kirishima. On the other hand, unlike the director’s choices so far, that was the treatment of a character most like in the manga, complete with over the top reactions. It reminds me of what they chose to drop (SD characters, exaggerated expressions, etc..)Also, am I the only one who felt like they were inspired by Ted? (I’ve read the manga, it didn’t feel the same.)

One of the stories in this series I really look forward is that between Haruna and Makie. Seeing it animated was just sweet.

  19. flamerounin

so, as expected, they made considerable changes to the haruna-makie storyline (not that those are bad). but i must say, they actually made that whole dress up scene a lot more hilarious.and, oh, God! that “Shakii-n!!” just made haruharu way cuter than her manga counterpart! <3now i wonder how they will handle the next part of this plot since this is where haruna goes berserk and the Admirality code suddenly appears to stop her.

  20. daikama

Since some people thought my manga vs. anime comparison was useful last time, Ive done the same thing in the spoilers below. Please note that I made sure not to include any possible spoilers for the anime in the first two lists. Two possible (and if so minor IMO) spoilers are separately listed after. Hope this proves useful to those who are interested or have questions after watching this episode.I-401/Iona changes/explanations I-401: They never returned to the dock for the warhead. BTW, the version I watched had 2000 hours projected repair time! That over 83 days! O.o. In the manga, they headed straight for Iwo Jima. As for the war head it was being delivered via Hakugei III which was cut from the anime. Cant see the anime reinstating Hakugei III so not a spoiler IMO.Ionas virtual tea room conversation never happened (even disregarding the anime only virtual tea room part). In fact, she was never flooded with Harunas/Kirishimas thoughts. In fact, those thoughts were never in the manga in the first place. Entire scene is anime only. My guess is that the anime is trying very hard (read as overly/unnecessarily so IMO) to make sure the viewer notices/understands that the MM (Mental Models) are changing, and in particular Iona. If you think theres an inconsistency with Ionas normal stoic/machine-like personality and all these questions about human emotions/behavior well thats why. Its anime only. Shes hardly curious at all about these things in the manga (at least so far). While she does have her “human-like” moments, why she hasn’t become more human-like overall compared to Takao, for example, despite having spent more time with humans than any other MM isn’t explained (again, so far).My guess is that Im not the only one who thinks its odd that Iona engages in casual conversation/seeks advice from Maya given that Iona is considered a traitor and enemy of the FoF (including Maya). Kind of like Rommel calling Patton during WWII because hes a little confused about why hes feeling depressed lately. >_>… As noted above, Iona doesnt think about this type of stuff (at least so far), and if she did, Im sure shed ask Gunzou before anyone else.BTW, Maya is getting a much bigger role (at least at this point) than in the manga. Also, shes not advising anyone about human behavior. >_> Makie and Tojurou Osakabe changes/explanations. Warning – this is really LONG list (lots of changes) FYI – Lawrence which is the name by which Makie knows Tojurou Osakabe. She has no idea about their real relationship. Using Lawrence b/c its easier to type.In the manga, Lawrence is Makies guardian. There was NO government request for a “backup Makie” and thus no need to fake his death in such a stupid manner. Sorry, but thats my opinion. Ill leave it at that. Anyway, in the manga, Lawrence is surprisingly fit/athletic and in quite good health. In terms of family IIRC the story as Makie only knows that both her parents are dead, and that she has a grandfather. Of course, grandpa is made up as well. The reason is that Lawrence felt Makie might become unstable without some “real” family. However, since grandpa isnt real, to her increasing frustration (why she escapes & goes looking for him) Makie has never met grandpa. She’s only received presents “from him” from time to time (mostly the stuffed animals including the teddy bear Kirishima borrows). In the manga, Makie is NOT the only design child to survive. Seven reached maturity (not sure how Makie = mature, but w/e), one of which is Makoto Osakabe (according to the manga male, though Wiki has as female not sure which is right), who plays a role later in this arc but, 99.9% sure is cut by the anime since it is Makoto, not Makie, who needs all those pills to live. While Makie did design the vibration torpedo, she did NOT run the program (i.e. ordering people around during loading as in the anime). Personally, I found the anime quite inconsistent here. In the anime, Lawrence even says Makies not allowed to make ANY outside contact yet there she is without any supervision directing the loading of the vibration torpedo. >_>Going back to an earlier episode, Makie first encounters the crew of I-401 (MINUS Gunzou) and attacks Kyhei (who she mistakes for Gunzou) because she thinks her grandfather is going to leave again on I-401 on a special mission. Lawrence made up that story as the reason she couldn’t see grandpa (again). BTW, Makie knows some martial arts having been taught that by Lawrence. The reason Makie discovers Haruna and Kirishima post battle is because she escapes the house (she uses a drug to knock out Lawrence) to once again find her grandfather “before he leaves on I-401” for his “secret mission”. She has no clue about the details of the battle which had just taken place. When they first meet, Haruna almost immediately regains consciousness and quickly realizes something is different about Makie. She and Kirishima first scan Makie, then human databases (evidently the FoF can hack into human databases), and discover who Makie really is (i.e. a design child and the developer of the vibration torpedo) BEFORE they even leave the storage building. Upon discovering Makie is a design child, Kirishima (I think) comments She may be similar to us. The anime (IMO) screwed up the whole you dont sound human line. That took place before arriving at Makies house. During the clothes discussion, Haruna says What kind of clothes should I wear? to which Makie asks Do you have money? Haruna replies Money. Oh, the intermediary system that humans use to ration good and services. Of course, Makie is like O.o after that response and replies Um thats right, but youre talking as if youre not human. Cue funny scene of Haruna trying to cover up her mistake. Makie offers to take Haruna back to her house to give Haruna some clothes calling it fate that they met. When Makie explains the meaning of the term, Haruna does NOT file it away” in her database per the anime (you don’t see the “system file screen” like before). Instead, she repeats Makie’s definition of the word – “Bonds… Predestined meetings…”, then with her eyes closed, says “…Fate. That’s a nice word.” It’s an important scene IMO for two reasons. First, it shows, perhaps in a subtle manner, that Haruna is starting to move away from the default FoF MM machine-like way of thinking and become more human like. Second, it also (IMO) illustrates that a “bond” (and thus a REASON for Haruna’s later actions) is beginning to form between the two. Remember, Haruna thinks very highly of words/human language. Thus Makie did NOT drop off Haruna & Kirishima to be left alone in her house while she supervises the loading of the torpedo. JMO, but I would have thought she would normally call for an ambulance upon finding someone unconscious like that, or at least drop them off at a hospital rather than take them home and figure theyll wake up eventually.Dinner, bath, going to sleep and Makies checkup are ALL anime only scenes. Makie left her bedroom for short time because Lawrence asks for her. When she returns to her bedroom, she notice Haruna had moved her teddy bear. When she picks up the bear, its VERY heavy (odd of course). When Makie tries to unzip the teddy bears cover to figure out why, (which would expose Kirishimas core) Kirishima freaks out and jumps away then you get the whole Wow, you must be a robotics engineer! scene. I honestly think the whole scene played out much better in the manga.Rather than waiting until Makie’s asleep, in the manga there’s a cute scene in which of all three of them are playing Jenga while Makie has a big smile on her face. By this time, Lawrence knows exactly who/what Haruna is (i.e. FoF battleship MM). Next, Haruna uses the tried and true need to use the toilet excuse to leave the room, and ends up finding Lawrence in the mansions control room (similar to anime, but Lawrence perfectly healthy sitting in a big executive type chair) Lawrence greets Haruna warmly and even says he wanted to talk with her. During all of this, teddy bear Kirishima stays with Makie in her bedroom (presumably still playing Jenga).Lawrences speech in the anime gives the bulk of the background info though IMO there are some important differences. One big difference is that in the manga, the vibration warhead was already tested on a grunt level FoF ship (one without a Klein field) and worked just fine theres NO future tweaking! The government was going to dispose of Makie since the vibration torpedo was finished, but Lawrence used every means at his disposal (literally) to save her. It was Lawrence that obtained the mansion and permission to be her guardian – and also jailer (overseer) at the same time. Living this lie is tearing him apart. I dont think the anime completely conveyed the intensity of Lawrence’s regret for his actions (i.e. creating the design children), and hows he tried to make up for that since realizing his mistake. He even comments I wanted to kill, my old nave self. For Lawrence, the only thing that matters now is that Makie’s happiness and giving her a chance at a bright future. When Haruna comments that if she surrendered, the situation would be resolved, he refutes her “offer” by saying the entire facade he’s built to protect Makie won’t last anyway. So even if it it means even if it means sacrificing everything he’s built – the mansion, wealth, etc., as long as it gives Makie a chance at a happy, “normal” future, it’s worth the sacrifice. to him. He asks Haruna to be Makie’s friend because until Makie met Haruna, the last time he saw her as happy was when she was still immature and didnt know her own mission.Haruna was NOT nearly as machine-like as the anime suggests during all of this – no more “data filing screen popup” to record new words after her discussion about “fate” with Makie. Furthermore, what the anime does NOT show you is that Haruna is VERY confused about the changes taking place within her. Shes not an easy going maiden in love like Takao. Shes struggling hard to understand whats going on within her. When Lawrence asks her to be Makies friend, she says .I had predicted that you would say that, but I dont know how I predicted that. This place is confusing me. That was more of a confirmation than a question.”Theres an important (IMO) Haruna line potentially left out. Might be included next ep (no cluse) so putting it in a separate spoiler tag. Really this belongs with the last point above. Right before, Lawrence requests Haruna to be Makies friend, Haruna actually asks Lawrence “What do you desire?” Lawrence, understandably is shocked to hear this. Haruna explains: Right now, Im seeing things in a way that even I cant understand. It had awakened within me when I met Makie, and grew rapidly after I came to this mansion.”Another important detail (IMO). Frankly, I don’t think this is even a spoiler since at the very end we see a bunch of troops exit military vehicles, an Alert warning flashing in the mansion “control center”, etc. The ENTIRE conversation between Lawrence and Haruna takes place WHILE the battle is raging on inside the mansion. THAT is why Lawrence so desperately and urgently (at least in the manga) asks Haruna to be Makies friend – and by extension, protect her because he knows he isn’t able to do so anymore.

The fact that every MM that has come in contact with humans have started to gain free will is something to note. Takao went full Tsundere after knowing Gunzou, Haruna gained compassion after knowing Makie and Kirishima went full huggable after Makie :pThey have started to be more sentient and independant, more human. Maybe that’s the real intention of the Admirality Code and the main reason why it didn’t ordered the Fleet of the Fog to destroy us completely.Battleships Power Ranking after ep 5: Takao, Haruna, Kongou, Iona, Kirishima, Loli Subs, Maya (Hyuga is still left to see, even after the Torp-Slap over Takao)

The text is from the poem “Sprche des Konfuzius” (Aphorisms/Proverbs of Confucius) by Friedrich Schiller:”Dreifach ist der Schritt der Zeit: / Zgernd kommt die Zukunft hergezogen, / Pfeilschnell ist das Jetzt entflogen, / Ewig still steht die Vergangenheit.””Threefold is the march of time / While the future slow advances, / Like a dart the present glances, / Silent stands the past sublime.”

  25. Ashkem

I like how they portray Iona in these recent episodes, as how she slowly ‘become more human’, since in the manga the focus is more on Gunzou and the politics of humanity. I still wish they didn’t have to prioritise showing Iona’s growth over other stuff though. It feels less enjoyable than it should be

  26. Flagen

I’m seriously hoping that the next episode won’t be messed up or anything, seeing as how they’ve made one key change “Toujuurou” didn’t exist, it was Osakabe Lawrence who made Makie, and who wasn’t bedridden. He’s to be the trigger for Haruna to lose control of herself and subsequently the Admiralty Code is to be activated, unless the Admiralty Code plot has been discarded completely in favour of something else. And the absence of Makie’s brother who is the prime minister of northern Japan who’s suppose to ‘save’ Makie, Haruna and Kirishima later on

    • AnoBakaDesu

In regards to the changeIn the manga Okasabe Toujuurou is his real identity, although he pretends to be Makie’s butler all the while implanting fake memories of a grandfather. Here, there’s no butler facade and the circumstances regarding why the government kept Makie alive slightly differ (hence why Toujuurou is on life support). That said, I kinda agree with you in that if Toujuurou ever comes to die in the next episode (and probably will), the impact on Haruna wouldn’t feel as strong as it did in the manga. On an unrelated note, this adaptation is blazing through the chapters! This episode recounts the events of volume 4 (with some key changes), whereas the current manga is still on its 8th! They also seem to have skipped Gunzou’s short encounter with the U-2501

Pretty good episode, though I would’ve preferred going the route of the manga, because of the greater complexity in the political and emotional landscape. Still, I guess it wasn’t absolutely necessary when the show only spans 12 episodes. Sadly…

If the Views are good, perhaps they can Build in in the Last Episodes the Other Fleets on the World. But i dunno, if they abandoned their territory, just to Help out in Japan Fog Fleet.

and there is still the Mysterious, about the Space Ship. How destroyed it? Sabotage?

Well, will we see the Battle that Happen Off-screen (Where 401 got the Big Cannon), in a Flashback? She appears in the ED, but nothing so far had Screen-time with her, except her Name. But from the count of Missiles, they used many MissilesHyuga. This Fight was not Animated so far. it just happed Off-screenhttp://images.randomc.net/Aoki%20Hagane%20no%20Arpeggio%20Ars%20Nova/Aoki%20Hagane%20no%20Arpeggio%20Ars%20Nova%20-%2004%20-%20Large%2004.jpg (1 name Left)

Perhaps the Fog Fleet, is a running Wild Human Created AI Program. But there is this strange “Alien” Technology, with this Torpedo’s and AI Cores…Perhaps an Outbreak of an Secret research Lab. But where they got the Human (Female) Mental Cores? Females Lab Workers examples? (Picture of Family Child’s of the Workers)This is just an Add On Idea, if the Anime get a “Bonus round”

This fight was also not shown in the manga. The only thing known is that they had to hit really hard (with a dozen of Erosion Torpedoes) to win.

And the award for the hottest anime body of the year goes to…This episode was cute as hell though, I think it’s safe to say that Haruna wins some major points with those outfits and the fact she cares for Makie-chan!
