「Confidence (信用)」 (Shinyou)
Given the more passive episodes recently, the collapse of the Southeast Asian Financial District was quite an abrupt turn of events.

「I wonder」
Everything went simpler than expected. I realized I've been thinking "too big" for the plot, and it backfired on me hard this episode. With only three episodes remaining, this was much like a turning point, with scenes of tears back to back from characters.

(Shisen no Hate)
"Horizon of Death"
The story has shifted away from Zess since the capture of Cleo and introduction of Borcuse in the third movie, and this fifth one continues on that trend. In his place, we have Girge bumping heads with Rygart, and ultimately changing his attitude toward the war between Athens and Krisna altogether.
Note: It's a bit difficult to look at fifth movie alone when I've already watched the sixth one that was streamed on Bandai Channel, but I wanted to talk about the final two movies separately. I'll have more thoughts on the ending later on and how it left the series as a whole unfinished, should I decide to cap off the much lower quality stream. (The BD release isn't until July 22.)

(Gensō no Homeosutashisu)
"Homeostasis of Illusions"
I'm sure if the mad scientist had a "bug list" that details all the things that were going to be changed before or after sending a D-Mail, those cheeks would be more rosy.

(Hajimete no Otsukai & Sannin de Ocha Wo)
"First Errand & Tea for Three"
What good is an episode that doesn't start another capture? Well, it means that we get a nice dose of Elsie goodness of course!

Look who's back.
"There's No Way This is The Last Time for My Sister"
After two full episodes Kirino-free, the stage was more or less set for our bratty heroine to make a return in the finale. I imagine no one in their right mind was expecting this true route to be completely devoid of Kirino's presence, regardless of how refreshing it's been with Sena substituting in as another younger sister with a rampant fetish.

(Tomochidori)
"Flock of Plovers"
There were many things that stirred Kiiragi's relatively cold heart, and the superbly complex process of friend making was one of them. An ostensibly easy job to others, but a journey for the socially inferior.

(Barairo no Jinsei wa Shinsetsu ni Uzumoreru)
"The Rose Colored Life is Buried Under Fresh Snow"
I have to say, this episode was pretty difficult to watch. If not just hearing the blood-curdling screams of Cordelia, but the implications of her situation was not exactly what I had in mind.
