Last time I checked, the answer is no in the ninja world whether it’s merely walking on water or pulling out a demon fox’s soul and making it a part of your own. Hell, you can even play a game of tug of war while you’re at it to make things more interesting on that inner turmoil level. It gets pretty ridiculous how almost anything in this series can be explained by the phrase, “with my chakra”, but in this case it actually makes a lot of sense and is pretty damn cool at the same time. If all Naruto has to do is release the seal and overcome the Nine-tails within him before it actually spills out into the real world in its bodily form, I’d say his odds of being successful are much greater than if he actually had to fight it toe-to-toe.
On another note, I find it rather convenient how Bee can actually help Naruto a bit in the process (with his chakra), leaving me wondering if he had any similar help with the Eight-tails before. If he did, I suppose it didn’t have to be another Jinchuuriki since we’ve seen Sasuke come face-to-face with the Nine-tails inside Naruto before, but what’s more impressive is that Bee is capable of performing what I perceive as a rather intricate melding. I can’t say it fits his image, which is why Bee is proving to be a bag full of surprises in his own right — in much cooler ways than Naruto is typically known for too. For now, it’s looking like Naruto will be able to take control of the demon fox within him in the coming chapters, which already has me picturing him whipping around red chakra and being in complete control. Last but not least, pulling the “losing your head” prank on Yamato was absolutely hilarious given how serious things were leading up to that point. It was also a prime example of Naruto and Bee’s stupidity gelling like I was anticipating five chapters ago. While I’m not actively following the anime anymore, I can already picture how awesome that scene will be with the actual vocal reactions to go along with it. It’s Koyama Rikiya playing Yamato after all. Oh the hilarity.

Can Chakra make you fly like a bird? (without some hang glider set of wings) Aside from that note, the prank was pretty amusing, especially considering the set-up needed for it. I think that in the coming chapters the “beat it with chakra” idea will prove difficult for naruto seeing as he isnt the best at chakra control (can he even do a single handed rasengen without a clone yet? no) and the Nine-Tails is a monster with copious amounts of hate filled chakra … >.> good luck with that
Not quite like a bird, but deidera flew ON a bird, and garaa can fly with sand. We haven’t seen anyone fly without objects, but i assume that it is possible just hard to learn/not worth it.
pein lifted himself up miles above konoha without any assistance before smashing the entire village which was the most awesome thing I have seen in Naruto
I hope that Kyubi gets some more time to talk and stuff. For such an important plot point, he doesn’t get a whole lot of face time. Maybe if Naruto gets control over him, he can have conversations with him the same way Bee does with the Hachibi.
Also, am I the only who imagined the Kyubi shouting “Ah! After 10,000 years I’m free! Time to conquer Earth!” Please tell me I’m not the only one.

The pace was kinda fast when it got to the releasing part.. It makes it feel a little that what Naruto did was a normal thing. The 4th died to make that seal, many tried to protect that seal, everything that was about Naruto from chapter 1 somewhat revolved around that seal.. Then he takes it off in around 4 pages?! Like it! 😀

This is pretty delicate stuff, if Kisame jumped out in front of the 8-Tails and 9-Tails’ hosts, he’d have a chance of getting stomped. He’ll probably come out later.

Boy, I still remember the days when people told Naruto “No! You don’t need to use Kyuubi’s power! You have your own!” nowadays it’s like Kishi realized he screwed himself over in Naruto’s growth (that’s what the time skip SHOULD have helped with) and had to come up with a way to make Naruto jump hurdles fast.
(sigh) I can’t beleive I took Bee’s joke so seriously, about the headless statues and all. I aslo can’t imagine the fox being so doctile like the HAchibi. Well, Naruto might start rapping to help get along with it.
